The Language of Fragrances

Fragrances are traditionally divided into FAMILIES
Some of the key families are: Floral, Fruity Floral, Oriental, Woody and Chypre.

As in a symphony, a perfume has a beginning, a middle and an end.
Top Notes, Middle Notes and Base Notes.
And just as in a musical symphony, a good fragrance is one with harmony.
One where the various notes blend smoothly into each other.

(You will learn more about the families, the notes and their functions and evaporation times when hosting or attending a Fragrance Journey)

The more beautiful and original perfumes are, the more complex composition they have. Some notes (top or head notes) are released immediately, making the fragrance seem light and fresh. After a while, however, you will smell the intense and deep heart (middle) notes. Then, at the end, you will detect the long lasting base notes. It is worth taking time to discover the full beauty of your chosen fragrance.

Not clothes but a well chosen fragrance is the most beautiful adornment which adds splendor and charm. Appropriately matched perfumes can reflect and complement the personality. People with a romantic nature often choose floral scents. Strong personalities on the other hand often opt for stronger oriental fragrances. Individualists find original woody fragrances interesting.
